Oakland Park Neighborhood

Oakland Park is a city that many consider to be one of the best residential options for people who would like to live within the Broward County of South Florida. It is one of the most ideal locations because it provides its residents with everything that they could possibly need along with easy access to neighboring cities and towns that can also be found within the Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area of the region.

The city of Oakland Park is conveniently located 3 miles north of Fort Lauderdale and 27 miles north of Miami. It shares its border with the city of Wilton Manors. It was originally called “Floranada” which was simply a combination of the term Florida and Canada but residents later decided to name their community Oakland Park instead since it was home to many large oaks that were found lined along the Middle River.

Today, Oakland Park is considered to be a rich community that caters to the various needs of its residents which are comprised of a diverse range of people from around the world. It is also home to a beautiful lake known as the East Coral Lake which people easily consider to be one of the most charming features within the community.

There are also parks and other recreational facilities such as the Eden Atlantic and John D. Easterlin Park which prove to be a great opportunity for people of all ages to spend their time within a wholesome environment.
